On top of the scholarship, the Scholars Program facilitates transformative leadership programming to inspire and support Scholars in making change in their communities and countries on their return home.

Les bourses 30 sont disponibles pour l'année académique 2019 / 2020 qui couvrira les frais de scolarité et les frais d'hébergement et de maintenance.

On top of financial support, Scholars will participate in activities as part of the wider Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh including a series of summer schools, project-based placements, mentorship, and activities during each academic year.

2019/20 applications

Applications for 2019 entry to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh open on October 1 2018 at 12:00pm GMT and close on November 30 at 12:00pm GMT.

Critère d'éligibilité

  • For undergraduate entry, applicants must qualify academically for admission to the University of Edinburgh in any course except Medicine and Vet Medicine
    • You need to have achieved your school leaving qualifications in the last three years prior to entry date, for 2019 entry that is from 2016 onwards
  • Applicants must be a resident and citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country
  • Applicants should not have completed an undergraduate degree previously
  • Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service within their community, and;
  • Applicants are able to present economic circumstances which show they lack financial means to pursue higher education in their home country or elsewhere

De troisième cycle

Le programme Scholars de l'Université d'Édimbourg offrira des bourses d'études supérieures 60 à des étudiants d'Afrique ayant un grand potentiel académique et de leadership, mais peu d'opportunités éducatives.

Les bourses 10 sont disponibles pour l'année académique 2019 / 2020, qui couvrira les frais de scolarité et les frais d'hébergement et de maintenance.

On top of financial support, Scholars will participate in activities as part of the wider Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh including work-based placements, mentorship, and other activities during the academic year.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service within their community, and;
  • Applicants are able to present economic circumstances which show they lack financial means to pursue higher education in their home country or elsewhere
